Demetria "Demi" Devonne Lovato was born on August 20, 1992, in Texas. She started her acting career at age seven in Barney and Friends, where she meet her 10-year best friend Selena Gomez. Her career really took off in 2008, when she played Mitchie Torres in the DCOM Camp Rock and released her debut album, "Don't Forget". In February 2009, she scored the leading role in the DCOS "Sonny With A Chance", as Allison "Sonny" Munroe. Not only that, but she also co-starred with Selena Gomez in the DCOM Princess Protection Program, one of the most watched programs on television in 2009! On July 21, 2009, her sophomore album Here We Go Again debuted at #1 on Billboard! Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam premieres September 3, 2010 on Disney Channel. Demi will spend July 27th- on with Jonas Brothers and the Camp Rock cast on an international tour. At 17, she's got a full childhood career behind her. She's graduated highschool, has an amazing voice with two albums under her belt, plus several soundtracks and Disney CD's. If you can't tell, then you must be living under a rock... Demi's got one exhilarating life ahead of her. <3

She continued about being a role model, “I’m learning and dealing with experiences that all teenagers go through. The way I want to be a role model is not by not making mistakes . . . but by helping people overcome things from the obstacles that I’ve overcome. That’s how I want to use my voice and that’s how I want to be a role model.”
