Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 9:23 am

Benadryl infant dosing chart. can you give a dog benadryl / claritin ...Benadryl Side Effects include heart palpitations, confusion, seizures, among others. Consult your doctor when you experience any side effects associated with Benadryl. Ignoring such side effects could endanger your life and worsen your medical condition. Your doctor might decide to adjust your dose or if the condition is very serious prescribe a new line of treatment for you.

Otherwise, avoid adjusting your dose without consulting your doctor. This is because your doctor was convinced the dose he prescribed for you was correct for you and any other dosage could result in overdose or under dose. In addition, do not use this drug without the doctor’s prescription since it could be dangerous. You may have seen an individual who has symptoms similar to yours using this drug and decide to use it too, however this is not commendable. This is because different people respond differently to the same drug due to their medical history and body mechanism.

Some Ways to Prevent Toenail Fungal Infections

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 6:38 am

Toenail fungal infections are the most common condition of the toenails, and many people don’t bother to treat them unless they are causing specific problems. You should always treat your nail fungus infection San Francisco podiatrist Dr Reyzelman recommends. Not only will it restore the cosmetic appearance of the toenails and avoid embarassment, it will also prevent the infection from spreading to other toenails. The problem with not treating the infection is that it is already difficult to treat, and the longer the infection is allowed to establish itself, the more difficult it is to eradicate, and the more chance that it will spread to other nails. Focusing on prevention is the best treatment, and this includes keeping the feet clean and dry, avoid wearing shoes that are too tight or restricting, change sox frequently if you sweat too much or your sox get wet, and protect your feet while in warm and damp public places where the fungus thrives.

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 4:18 pm

We’ve all heard the saying before: better safe than sorry. This becomes especially true when it comes to automobile and vehicle safety. If you are stuck on the side of the road in either a roadside or medical emergency, you truly want to be as prepared as you can be, as you could be miles from any type of civilization. First aid or roadside emergency kits are a must if you are a frequent car traveler, as most of us are these days. They can be easily stashed in your car’s trunk, and don’t take up much physical space. These kits can be literally a lifesaver to those that travel frequently by themselves, and can save the day at just the right time. If you are in charge of safety for a commercial fleet, be sure to stock each vehicle with its own car emergency kit so you can ensure the safety of each employee, and your own peace of mind.

I Have Some Extra Knee Braces

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 12:20 am

I was playing some hoops a bout a month or month and a half ago when my buddy undercut me when I was going up for a slam dunk. I took a really nasty spill landing in a position that put a lot of extra stress on my knee, it hurt really bad, I thought for sure that I broke or dislocated something in my leg.

It turns out that I didn’t actually do any major damage but I did over extend my knee so I was told to wear a knee a brace for a few weeks. The doctor did not supply me with a brace so I got online and ordered one from the online mega sporting goods store that has anything and everything sports related. I thought that I was ordering one brace but it turns out I ordered a who box of knee braces! No wonder it was so expensive!

Aortic Aneurysm Surgery – Advisable or Not?

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 7:32 am

The aorta is a large artery of the heart that carries oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body. Stretching or bulging of the artery wall creates an aortic aneurysm which may cause it to rupture causing internal bleeding that may be fatal. Common causes include hardening of arteries, infections, injury and also genetic conditions. Symptoms although rarely percieved include extreme drop in blood pressure, signs of a shock and severe pain when the aneurysm bursts.

Aortic Aneurysm Surgery is advised for large or fast-growing aneurysms and when symptoms such as pain are present. Smaller aneurysms are usually monitored by the doctor periodically to see if they get bigger. The surgery involves removing the portion of the aorta that contains the aneurysm and replacing it with a synthetic graft or in some cases it is bypassed. This requires general anesthesia, open-chest surgery and a hospital stay of around five days. Several surgical approaches are offered by medical institutes include aortic homograft, “Freestyle” valve and root replacement, cabrol procedure and several others.

By Using Vaginal Mesh Cystoceles Sufferers May Be Facing Health Risks

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 11:33 am

It is possible that a number of women, especially those over the age of 50, are suffering from the problems of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) or stress urinary incontinence (SUI). These women may have been prescribed surgery using a vaginal mesh. The vaginal mesh was designed to offer support to the weakened pelvic muscles and thus restore the prolapsed organs to their proper position. By using vaginal mesh cystoceles and rectocele sufferers may have hoped to experience some relief from their symptoms. However, in some cases the women suffered adverse health effects following the surgery. Reports of these complications allegedly caused by the mesh have reached the Food and Drug Administration, resulting in the issue of a warning to women and medical professionals. Women who were suffering from cystoceles may have undergone mesh repair surgery. If these women are now facing health problems like infections, bleeding and pain, then they may be eligible to receive compensation.

Medicine for Acid Reflux

Filed under: Medicine — Tags: — admin @ 4:38 pm

I wanted to go out to a movie with my friend but he said he could not come with me because he has acid reflux symptoms. I was a little bit worried about my friend because he has not been out of the house for many days now as he has been very sick. So I decided to go to the movies myself without my friend and see a movie alone. After I finished the movie I called my friend and he said that he was still having acid reflux problems and his chest was burning. I told my friend that he should probably go and see a Doctor because it sounds like he is having some severe problems. I drove my friend to the doctors and we waited for a few hours. After waiting we were able to go to see the Doctor and he gave my friend some medicine which made him feel much better.
